Big Fat Gypsy Wedding Light Up Dress

Here at the Wedding Nest we have been enraptured by the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding series. There was a one of a kind wedding dress that featured that just screams to be talked about.
It was a big fat gypsy wedding light up dress! Something you would perhaps imagine on a Barbie doll, this creation weighed far more than the bride and caused the dress maker to bring along a mini fire extinguisher, just to be on the safe side!!

The lights were clever concealed under layers of netting, only to be switched on when the young bride hit the dancefloor. Quite how she managed to walk in such an enormous gown, let alone dance in it is a mystery but move she did!
Not only were there lights on the dress, there were lights in her veil and the whole piece was topped off with actual mechanical butterflies that fluttered their wings!
The series finished a couple of weeks back, but the image of that dressBig Fat Gypsy Wedding Light Up Dress will live on forever.
The dress was created by Thelma Madine.
